My art journals are a way to record my deepest feelings about experiences, relationships, encounters in nature and the meaning of place. As I witness my life through this act of creation something larger than my mind takes over; my senses become more vivid, my emotions more intense and I discover new ways of understanding. Sometimes working on a particularly powerful piece can feel like a ritual. Putting my intentions onto paper can feel like a visual prayer. I have carried my art journals across continents; recording the ambience of Europe, the mystery of spiritual India, the push and pull of Africa and the wonder of the high desert of New Mexico. On these pages, I have recorded grief, joy and all the subtleties that lie between.

I teach art journaling workshops in my lovely Santa Fe studio, over the internet and on retreats.
